Ask Lyndrick: Adventure Vlogging

You write, produce, direct, act, and edit. Which of these is your favorite and why?

Once upon a time it was writing. I really enjoyed creating new worlds and adventures. Right now I would say that acting is the most fun. It allows me to pretend to be all the things I wanted to be when I was younger.

What do you remember about your 18th birthday?

Not much. I remember expecting some huge change to occur, but it never did. It was just like any other day.

How old were you when you first picked up the guitar and what was the catalyst for wanting to?

I was 19 years old when I bought my first guitar. I had wanted one for years, but my mom would not get me one. She was certain that I would never use it. I think bands like Nirvana, Green Day, and Pearl Jam inspired me to want to play. I wanted my own band.

Do you like your driver’s license photo?

Not really. I loved my old Arkansas driver’s license. I had a great smile in it. I look like a zombie in my latest one. A smiling zombie.

Do you still play guitar and sing?

I do still sing on occasion, but I have not picked up a guitar in quite some time. Any ability I had is pretty much long gone.

How do you feel about Adventure Vlogging?

I like the adventure element of vlogging, but I struggle to keep things together on the videography and audio side of things. It’s weird. I can talk about anything at anytime usually, but when I am holding a camera on myself I become a stammering mess of an individual.
